Snorkel Diver, is a type of recreational diving where a diver swims on or near the surface of the water using a snorkel and mask, fins, and suit. Unlike scuba diving, skin diving does not involve the use of tanks or regulators to breathe underwater.

There is no specific certification program for Snorkel Diver, but many dive centers offer introductory snorkeling courses or guided tours. These courses typically cover the basic skills and techniques needed to be a Snorkel Diver, such as how to use a snorkel and mask, how to clear water from the snorkel, and how to swim efficiently with fins.

The Snorkel Diver course also covers safety techniques and considerations, such as how to avoid marine life hazards and how to handle any emergencies that may arise. The courses usually take a few hours to complete and can be a fun and exciting way to explore the underwater world.

I would like to highlight this diving company, which I had the honor to meet recently. You can see that this work is done by brothers who themselves do it from the heart. They certainly lack organization, communication and a pro-client approach, which is often lacking in Egypt. They are great professionals and thanks to them my vacation and diving were unforgettable. Thank you guys very much and I'm looking forward to seeing you soon

What a great place to learn diving! This school has a beautiful house reef and a super patient and understanding dive instructor. The school takes time to build up routines by repetition what helps to feel save. I had a lot of fun while learning and experiencing the world underwater.

I know Mohamed Mustafa for almost ten years now. He educated me, my daughters and my wife. He is a talented teacher and perfect dive instructor. I am so much looking forward to the next dives with him in October. :)

Incredible company run by two lovely brothers wich are doing them work by heart. Professionality is there beyond Egyption standarts under water and on the surface as well . We spend there 14 days and i have nothing to complain about. Seriously great time. I am AOWD , my sister rescue and our mother is open water just with only 12 dives in time we came to dive with Deep South Divers. Them knowledge under water is something amazing a they do with our mum incredible work.. She is 63 and she improve so much with thoose guys that i was almost crying from happines when i look at her under water. All team is lovely. (Especialy Monika ❤️) All time just smiles and great mood. This is the key to unfergotable holliday. We will defenetely come back as soon as possible. With love “maminka team”.

Great dive centre, with lots of different dive sites accessible from shore or boat. Friendly staff, who try hard to accommodate your wishes.Located right on the beach, near a great restaurant and cafe, plus over the road (5 minutes walk) is the Deep South Eco Lodge, which makes a perfect match - of affordable, good accommodation (with amazing meals!), diving and eating and relaxation, as well as a easily accessible reef nearby to snorkel on when not diving. It is quite a way (15 minutes drive) from Marsa Alam town centre so remote, but this is its beauty and makes for a very chilled base. Some people do travel (& get collected) from their other hotels etc if not staying over the road at the EcoLodge. Enjoy!

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND everyone to book with Deep South directly, or at least through a reputable hotel etc. I booked with a person in town who assured me they were an agent of Deep South etc. This turned out not to be true, and the information they provided me was all wrong (prices, where we would be diving etc). It’s hard when they are so pushy, but just say NO and book direct. When I got to the Deep South’s dive office and realised all of the info I got was wrong, I was super upset. Muhammad the owner came and met with me & talked with me about how they could fix it even though it wasn’t Deep South’s fault to begin with. We sorted everything out, and I have to thank Muhammad for his professionalism and service. He really saved the day and went out of his way to help me.
