The Journey: What You Will Do

Part 1: Academic E-Learning (At Your Own Pace)

Skip the classroom lectures on your holiday. With the digital SSI system, you can complete all your reading, videos, and quizzes online or on the mobile app before you even pack your bags. When you arrive at our center, we will review the core concepts together to make sure you feel entirely confident.

Part 2: Confined Water Training (In the Sea — Not a Pool)

We focus heavily on helping you master essential comfort skills, such as mask clearing and regulator recovery, until they feel like second nature. To keep your initial training completely stress-free, we head straight to sheltered, shallow bay sites like Marsa Assalaya and Marsa Egla. These natural locations provide a stable sandy bottom, crystal-clear visibility, and calm water—giving you all the benefits of a pool but with real marine life swimming by right from your very first breath.

No swimming pools—your first dive is in the real ocean with coral reefs and marine life

Part 3: Open Water Explorations

This is where the magic happens. Over four open ocean dives, we expand your boundaries up to 18 meters. We will guide you through spectacular local sites where you will practice real-world dive execution. Keep your eyes peeled: our training grounds are frequently visited by green sea turtles, blue-spotted rays, and pristine coral structures.

We had the most amazing dives with Deep South Divers. They're very professional and easy going. During the 8 dives we did, we've met awesome people with similar drive and interests. Next month we're going back to do our Advanced course. They do everything to make you feel safe and let you experience the beauty of the Red Sea.

I'd already heard many positive feedbacks about this diving center from other foreign divers, now I can definitely confirm it's true! The location is next to the beautiful Tondoba bay. The sea there is full of colourful & vibrant coral reefs as well as abundance of other marine lifes like blue dots rays, moray eels... and with a large sandy grass land where I saw a large eagle ray, and at least 10 giant turtles ...I also booked a boat diving trip to Shab Samadai where I spotted 17 dolphins in a crystal clear water! And I explored an area with many pinnacle and coral reefs with various shapes, sizes and colours. But the highlights of all were the underwater caves where the light can penetrate into them create a magical and spectacular scenery! So surreal, that at certain point, I could'nt even make the difference between reality and dream! All these, huge thanks to Muhammed Mustafa (the owner), Mahmoud (the manager), Ibrahim (the guide) and the whole team without which this diving trip would'nt be possible!!! Next time, if I come back to Marsa Alam, you'll be, for sure, my first choice! ✌

Me and my sisters did the open water diving course. The course took 3 days with each 2 dives, we did the theoretical part online with an app. We managed to finish all the exercises in the first 2 days and were able to use the 3rd day to mostly just enjoy the sea turtles and coral reefs. The teachers were all really nice. The diving school is located in a bay south of Marsa Alam, a very quiet spot, with a few options for accommodation. The diving conditions are incredibly good, which makes diving very rewarding from the very beginning. It's also nice to have the bay more or less to yourself and not be surrounded my lots of other boats and divers.

Although the initial promise „learning how to fly“ sounded almost too good to be true, it was not exaggerated. Diving really is one of the best ways to spend your time and the „Deep South Divers“ School with it’s amazing house reef is the right place to learn it. We had the great pleasure to do our open water license with Mohammad Mustafa who is an amazing teacher. During the whole course he was supportive, calm and of course very knowledgeable. We always felt safe, received study materials in our native language (german) and were picked up at our hotel daily. Furthermore the other team members were extremely friendly and knew their craft. We will definitely come back for further diving. Thank you for the great experience.

We have loved our experience at Deep South divers. We were sleeping at Deep south Eco lodge located about 100m from the dive center (on google you see the Marsa Alam office, but in reality the center is located a bit south of the city in a little paradise).I had chosen to dive with Deep South before arriving in Egypt, and I chose the center because of good review and because of a great communication with the center. Before arriving I had already the prices and the best diving spot booked for us.You should know that Marsa Alam and the surroundings are a diver’s paradise. We’ve discovered that there were hundred of amazing dive spots in the area.Moudi, co-owner and dive master accompanied us through all of our dives. He’s a passionate diver and he’s very dedicated to the center and to his clients. He even organised a private trip to elphinstone, which I really wanted to visit. If you have dollars or euro, you should definetly travel with them in egypt and prepare the money to pay cash. This is pretty much for all Egypt! You should also know that Deep South offers pick up from your hotel if you are not staying at the Eco Lodge located nearby. We will definetly be back!

We had two great days of diving with Deep South ; nice and prepared guides (Ramadan was the best one!), top position for beautiful reefs and for dolphin house. Diving center perfect for chilling after diving.
